hello
My name is Trent. A friend of mine recently sent me a quotation by poet Wendell Berry that resonates with me a lot:
"It may be that when we no longer know what to do, we have come to our real work and when we no longer know which way to go, we have begun our real journey."
I reached that point in 2019 when my 7-year-long career vanished out from under my feet. Since I was a teenager I had wanted to be a working artist. The thought of getting better at creativity, drawing every day, and being my own boss really appealed to me. I fell in love with tattoos before it was legal for me to get them because it was so taboo. Now I live in a state where that taboo is a political statement among conservative religious folk that outnumber everyone else in the state. I enjoy staking my artistic claim in an environment like Utah, and I love helping folks adorn their own fleshy temples.
I'm highly interested in ink, printmaking, tattoos, antiques, insects, anatomy, queer themes, drag, stories of the underdog, dope chill beats, Latin-American history, linguistics, etymology, folklore, and tarot.
I look forward to sharing more with you in person and getting to know your story more! If you'd like to book a tattoo with me please go riiiiiiiiiiight HERE to do so! Cheers, queers!
